Privacy
Policy.
m-log is designed to keep your mood journal private. This Privacy Policy explains what information m-log handles and what it does not.
The short version
m-log does not collect, transmit, upload, sell, or share your personal information or mood entries. Information you create in m-log is stored locally on the iPhone on which you use the app. Neat Assembly does not operate a server, account system, analytics service, or cloud database for m-log data.
Information stored on your device
Depending on the features you use, m-log may store information you enter or create in the app, such as mood and feeling ratings, notes, dates, daily factors, reminder preferences, and app-lock settings. The app can also store its own settings and local history.
The journal is kept in the app’s private on-device storage. m-log does not have access to this information. It is not sent to Neat Assembly, other companies, advertising networks, or analytics providers.
Notifications and reminders
If you enable reminders, m-log uses Apple’s on-device notification system to schedule discreet notifications on your iPhone. Reminder settings remain on your device. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings or within the app, where available. m-log does not use a remote notification server.
App lock and device security
If you enable the optional app lock, m-log uses Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode through Apple’s authentication frameworks to help restrict access to the app. Neat Assembly does not receive or have access to your passcode, biometric data, or authentication credentials.
Data sharing, tracking, and advertising
m-log does not contain advertising, third-party tracking, behavioural profiling, or cross-app tracking. It does not use your mood data for marketing, research, model training, or any other secondary purpose. There is no account, remote analytics, cloud sync, or monitoring of entries.
Export and sharing
m-log can create CSV files of your journal data for you to share using the iOS share sheet. This is an action you initiate. The files are generated locally and are not sent to Neat Assembly. Once you share them, the receiving app or service handles them under its own privacy policy.
Backups and device transfers
m-log does not independently upload your data to a Neat Assembly server or third-party cloud service. Apple may include app data in an iPhone backup or device transfer if you have enabled those Apple features. Those services are controlled by your Apple account and Apple’s own terms and privacy policies. m-log does not provide iCloud sync between devices in this version.
Data deletion
You can delete individual entries using the controls provided by m-log. Removing the app removes its local journal from the device, subject to the normal operation of device backups. Neat Assembly cannot delete data from your iPhone remotely because we do not receive or store it. If you export CSV files, delete any copies you no longer want from the apps or services where you shared them.
Children’s privacy
m-log does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because all app data is stored locally and no account is required, the app does not maintain a user database.
Changes to this policy
If the privacy practices of m-log change, this policy will be updated before or when the change takes effect. The “Last updated” date above indicates the current version. Material changes will be described clearly on this page.
